2020 Annual Meeting of the House of Delegates
Share |

Serving in the LSMS House of Delegates is one of the best ways to get involved in the Society and make a difference in medicine. There are approximately 300 voting members which serve as the policy-making body of the LSMS, and who represent a diverse group of member physicians referred to as delegates. These delegates, and their alternates, if applicable, represent medical districts, member sections, medical schools, medical specialty societies, and others. The House of Delegates meets annually but may meet in special session if called by the Speaker (1) on the written request of 50 or more delegates representing 3 medical districts, or (2) on the request of the Board of Governors.

If you are a member of a recognized parish medical society interested in serving as a delegate, you may be nominated by your society or you may nominate yourself.
