The mission of the Physician Leadership Academy is to provide an engaging and comprehensive educational experience for practicing physicians new to practice or being groomed for organizational leadership roles. Establish a foundational, practical knowledge base for physicians working in independent private practice, academic, or part of an integrated delivery system. To immerse physicians in pertinent technical and managerial principles; positioning for success in a dynamically evolving industry as prepared organizational leaders.

2019 Spring Academy
April 4-6, 2019, 15 LSMS members attended the 4th LSMS Physicians Leadership Academy in partnership with LSU Executive Education. They participated in engaging lectures covering finance, innovation, digital healthcare, accountability, strategic management, and professional branding. This year’s academy also included a private gourmet reception with Jay Ducote, a tour of LSU Football Operations, and tickets to the LSU-Texas A&M baseball game.
