Resolutions are now being accepted for the 2019 LSMS House of Delegates
The House of Delegates is the policymaking body that decides LSMS position on public policies. By submitting a resolution, you are shaping LSMS position on the most pressing issues in health care. In January, delegates will vote on whether to adopt submitted resolutions as official LSMS policy
What is a resolution?
A resolution is a proposed policy statement on a particular issue. Adopted resolutions become official LSMS policy and guide all advocacy efforts.
Who can submit a resolution?
Resolutions may be presented by a delegate, an alternate delegate, a Chartered Parish Society, a general officer of the Society, the Board of Governors, a Council or Standing Committee of the Louisiana State Medical Society, or a Standing Committee of the House of Delegates.
What is the deadline for submission?
You can submit a resolution anytime until December 11, 2018. The House of Delegates will vote on resolutions at the HOD meeting on January 25-26. After December 11, 2018, a resolution is considered late and must be reviewed by the LSMS Committee on Rules & Order of Business.
